Instead of a parking ticket, Anita Scenini discovered a bouquet of flowers and a romantic poem.
The note, left by an unnamed ranger, said: “roses are red violets are blue, these handpicked garden bed flowers, are from the ranger to you, kind regards.”
Ms Scenini was parked on Olive Street while attending a course in Subiaco until about 4pm.
She said she had paid for her parking, but the printer on the parking machine wasn’t working. So she called the number listed for the ranger and he said he would leave her a “little something on her windscreen”.
“I cut him off mid conversation and I said, ‘oh really, flowers or chocoloate or perfume because you guys have such a poor reputation of leaving really nasty things on peoples windscreens’,” Ms Scenini said.
Ms Scenini said she thought she would have to pay a fine, but the flowers and poem had made her day.
