Instagram gets a makeover

Popular social media sharing application Instagram has released its new logo and layout overnight – with mixed reviews.
Instagram’s logo underwent the most significant transformation. retaining the image of a simple camera, but changing its colour from brown to a rainbow gradient.
The photo sharing and editing app now has a monochromic layout.

 

Instagram founder and chief executive officer Kevin Systrom told his Instagram followers today that users inspired the update and the new look.
“We designed our new look to match your vibrant and diverse stories,” he said.
“You’ll recognise parts of our previous icon that you loved, but you’ll also see new parts that give a nod to your creative spark.”
But Instagram users have taken to Twitter to vent their opinions about the new changes.

 

And some tweeted their more cynical views about the update.
