Two Rockingham men were charged last night after police found a handgun in their car.
The men were travelling along Thomas Rd towards Kwinana freeway at an excessive speed when officers stopped them.
During the car search, police found a handgun, drug implements, a quantity of cash and numerous weapons, along with a disguise.
The driver, a 28-year-old male, was charged with possesion of an unlawfully altered firearm, possesion of prohibited drugs with intent to sell or supply, and no authority to drive.
One of the passengers in the vehicle was also charged with possession of an unlawfully altered firearm.
The men are due to appear in the Rockingham Magistrates Court today.
